All schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian Curriculum.  We assure you that all contributions are voluntary, nevertheless, the ongoing contributions from our families ensures that we can offer the best possible education and support for our students.

Yarraville West Primary School only requests contributions for items that we believe add value to the school experience for students. All contributions go specifically towards items and activities that help improve your child’s educational experience.

Within our school your support has allowed us to offer:

• Learning and Wellbeing supports eg; Bully Zero Program
• Extra Curricular Programs eg; Art Show
• Extension programs ie; Claymation, Tournament of the Mind, Arts and Sport Competition
• Lunchtime clubs/activities ie; Environment, Junior/Senior choir, Lego, Basketball
• Apple devices for Digital Technologies
• Apple TV in all learning areas
• Art, Music and Physical Education equipment
• Well-resourced library
• Hands on equipment for Mathematics, Science and Technology
• Class sets of reading materials for students to develop their reading skills

We want to thank you for all your support, whether that’s through fundraising or volunteering your time. This has made a huge difference to our school and the programs we can offer.

Financial Support for Families

Yarraville West Primary School understands that some families may experience financial difficulty.  We offer a range of support options, including:

• the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF)  Click here for a CSEF Application
• Flexible payment arrangements (via Compass) & CentrePay; 
• Welfare Fund – funded by family voluntary contributions and the school to assist with funding for camps/excursions
  and/or other welfare needs
• Second hand uniform
• State School Relief – clothing & uniform support

Refunds

Parent requests for refunds are subject to the discretion of the school and made on a case-by-case basis. Refunds will be provided where the school deems it is reasonable and fair to do so, taking into consideration whether a cost has been incurred, the Department’s Parent Payment Policy and Guidance, Financial Help for Families Policy and any other relevant information.
